Post Factory Service Manual on CD

I noticed a vendor selling a CD of the official Lexus service manual for several years of the SC300. He is on ebay with the name Zin Zine, I believe it is. He offers many makes of manuals on CDs, and I noticed he had quite a few "neutral" feedbacks saying more or less "the CD was not quite what I expected".

Has anyone here bought a Lexus CD manual from him? If so, how is it?

Thanks!

it's basically 36mbs worth of pdf files with some useful information. It's not the stuff that shops use but rather just a scan of a manual.

It's probably worth at most $10.

I got one out of interest, it has some SC specific stuff and a lot of generic stuff, worth the 30 bucks I paid - not really more like 20 bucks.

How exactly would I go about getting the actual factory service manuals? It's a 2-volume set I think. Who publishes that? Helm?

Try books4cars.com - you probably won't like the price.

So what manuals are these .pdf files scanned from? The service manuals the dealer has?

I posted this on the GS forum but I was wondering what you guys think. How come neither Haynes nor Chiltons has books for Supra/sc300/GS300? It's really weird. At least you guys managed to snag a stereo wiring diagram to post on your forum. I've heard the CD doesn't have that.

I checked books4cars.com and they don't have the full service manuals. I figured they would be expensive, about $200 I guess, but that's ok. It's finding them that's a hassle.
