Default 1994 sc400, fully loaded,jade green,tan interior.16K miles.Will it be a collectable?

My father and I are wondering if this car will ever be worth anything. It has under 16K miles and everything is basically like new. He gave it to me as a graduation gift and is wondering if he should put it back in storage, keep the miles off and buy me a car or just let me enjoy this classic car. Pictures are on my previous thread.

Nawww drive it like you stole it and till the wheels fall off these cars with that low milage are not worth saving and collecting. JK!

If you have the money to put it in storage and just get a new car then I would definitely do that. Just imagine how rare a mint car like that would be years from now.To me its a classic and worth collecting

If its 16k or 30k, it wont make much difference, park it 5 days a week and enjoy that beauty on the weekends and in good weather!

yes a good stock sc with low mileage is becoming much harder to find.

These first generation lexus's will one day be remembered as one of the all time greats.

If you have the money park that thing and get another one to drive around.

Your father gave you a great gift.

it will be worth more with low miles but even with high miles after 30 years it becomes an antique (some states vary). so i would definitely enjoy the car. when the car has 150k and is 30 years old it will still be worth a very very good amount of money. and either way after a certain amount of years your TITLE will say exempt (correct me if im wrong here) but it doesnt matter how many miles u have still will say exempt. EXEMPT meaning i could change the miles and it will not be investigated so who is to say later on someone will believe you. just my opinion, REAL antiques are those that tell a story of where they been. ENJOY!

The fact that Lexus no longer makes the SC helps your case.

My opinion - the SC is a great car, but is not destined to be a true collectible. It'll be enjoyed by many enthusiasts like we have on Club Lexus, appreciated by others who see it and is an extremely well built and classicly styled car.

However the only 'premium' you are likely to get is for low miles / good condition and that's likely to be $500 extra when you sell it. The demand just isn't there. If it had something like 500 miles on it you might be lucky enough to find a special collector that would pay something to get a "new" one, but 16,000 miles is still well used.

Drive it and enjoy it, keep up the maintenance for that like new condition.

Considering the age/mileage of the Sc put her back into storage, too many Bad driver's on the road. Especially...if you just graduated High School (IMO) Congrats on your graduation.

It'll definitely be a rare car but I dunno about a collectable classic bringing alot of $$$. It'll definitely be worth a good amount of money to someone in the future, there is a buyer for everything. I say pick up a beater gas sipper, daily drive that and enjoy the sc400 when you want to .

Nope, just drive it. These cars are not collectibles.
