Ok so I picked up a 97 sc300 teal (not my fav color). I'm thinking of either going platinum silver like the Oem sc300 came or a apex silver metallic that the EVO 8 come with.

Anyone else have good color ideas with pics? My body shop guy quoted my $1500 any color I want basically since he is a friend.

 

Go with RSP Royal Saphire Pearl, Black Onyx or Midnight Indigo Pearl

All OEM colors for a SC that look great.

 

yeah im really feeling the RSP but I dont know if it will be too flashy for a stock looking 97 sc300.

 

Gun Metal, RSP, White pearl, Black, Garnet Red...and of course Sandstone

 

Forget $1500, spraypaint it RSP. Turned out great for another member (sarcasm)..

 

^^lol, i'd just repaint it to original color unless its originally red, then i'd consider painting it another color like black onyx

 

star fire pearl on the is350 is a very nice white that i might consider.

Yes man you have to try to keep cars original color whenever possible.

The teal is actually a nice color.

Also for $1500 youre not goin g to get the engine bay painted---inner doors and inner trunk done im sure.

Color changes ussualy lower a cars value significantly.

 

1WILLY1 brings up a good point. A color change does decrease value unless the entire car is done.

Anyway, I would go with Garnet Pearl, Boroque Pearl, Ultrasonic Blue, Platinum Silver, or Onyx Black.

lexus code 074 glacier frost mica, you not getting that color for 1500 i can guarantee you that.

 

Is it dark green, jaded? If not you probably have the extremely rare (limited) supra color that was offered in 1997, keep it this color.

 

OEM SC300 silver color gets my vote
