I searched and couldn't find anything in the SC forum.

Does anyone have the shark fin antenna mod completed on their SC, if so how is the reception? What kit did you buy etc etc. I would like to see some pics of the antenna installed. Thanks

Haven't seen anyone with a shark fin but here's an idea, shave the existing antenna, and mount it in its extended position somewhere along an inside body panel. Should work

what you guys dont like the 4 foot fencing sword sticking out the trunk? and the way it sounds like you have a lift gate on the back when it extends?

Putting a shark fin antenna on an SC is just about as stupid as putting an aftermarket roof spoiler on the top of it's rear window, If it wasn't meant to go on the SC, I say leave it off.

well let me be the judge of that for MY CAR.....but as of now im just looking for pics. I seen that s2000 mod and the antenna seems to stick out the side of the body instead of straight up.

i dunno about the reception on these cars but on another car i had i bought a 15 dollar antena at a car system place, i plugged it into the back of my radio and left the antena behind my radio and it worked perfect

note: the antena was one of those like 12 inch rubber antenas that like the back of cop cars have.

I think im gonna just hide it somewhere....it doesnt flow with the body...maybe i need a different fin slimmer,smaller,rounder..maybe... i dunno just a thought...

It's SC400TT's black SC, and Autoboys widebody SC.
My ol' 1992 SC had a hole already in the back glass from an old cellphone antenna, so I assume you drill a hole, and run the wire through just the same to the cabin for what you are trying to do.

I always liked the shark fin antenna. It looks pretty cool, but I may go with the S2000 antenna.
