Default should I buy this SC 400

hi all, while looking for some japanese cars i came across an SC 400.

the car a was repo, and the user got it at an auction.
badly torn seats,

ever since, he's not done any maintainance, since 83.

150 K
shimmy's on breaking into a turn, dont know about breaks (are the breaks ABS? is that why)
oil leaks below all over, dont know from where
windshield cracked
seats torn
smoked in
dash plastic is broken
headlights housing jaded and cracked
belts not changed since 80K
CD player skipps (minor)
no history or records (repo)
nothing flushed

would all this be worth a fixing for 4K car? or anything else for that (worth bothering?)

would flushing the fluids and replacing the gasket seals, timing belt, restore the performance of the car

I realize i am asking a lot of questions, but only people who know their car (SC400) well would know if this is even worth it....

amazing thing is the car still RUNS smooth.... even though its torn up on the inside and under the hood.

would i be able to find a decent sc300 for 5K?

RUN, don't walk, away from that car. With no title or history, you would probably have no luck selling it later. Sounds like a car that would only be good to use for parts. I've seen some decent SC300s for around 10k.

I agree as well. Do not buy this car - it has obviously been abused. To fix it would likely cost you more than the cost of buying it. There are good cars out there for $10K as stated before. If you can only afford $5K, I totally understand that, but you should consider buying another car (i.e. Camry) in better condition first until you are willing to spend the dough.

if you get the car, you're probably going to spend well over $4K to get it where it's decent. why not just buy a SC3 or SC4 for around 10K?? that way you everything is "ok" to go.

It will depend on owner's intention. As for me, i would like to get a high mileage, beat up SC400. The reason is that i will built the whole thing over again with stronger internals and ready for boost.

If you are not getting it, please let me know.
