Default Who has tha most bump'n'tha trunk???

I was just curious to what kinda hi-powered sound systems are in my fellow bretherin'/sisterin of the SC family?

Mine:

Clarion DMX5555 MD/CD/AM FM double din
Lanzar Optiplex 3 way crossover
Alpine MRV-200 V12 400WT 2 channel amp
Alpine MRF-305 V12 400WT 4 channel amp
Infinity reference 4" coax fronts
Nakamichi stock tweeters
Infinity reference 6.5" coax rears
2 JL Audio 8W0's - dual compounding/single chamber mono box
Monstercable RCA's
1/2 Farad Monster Capacitor

it bangs pretty hard and crystal clear.... but I think i want 2 more subs and a big bottle of NOS,... I hear that bottle increases bass response,... or was that throttle response??

My setup
Alpine CD head unit 7864
Mb Quarts 6.5 back Coax, 5 1/4 Q series separates
punch 800.4
2 15" Eclipse alum in fiber glass false floor
Power bd1000a1
1 farad cap, distrib block, 4 gauge power wires, monster cables
Brown bead sound killer all over the trunk

Too bad I made the mistake of facing the woofer up. This prevents me from really cranking it up the way I want it. There is no way I can prevent the trunk lip from rattling, even with a larger port opened through the stock hole. But with it truned up it pounds like hell, but rattling starts fairly bad from the back, but sounds sick from the front

But i do have to give it up to this guy, there is this guy that i meet. Not too sure of specifics of his set up with 4 12" RF DVC's (2 facing the gas tank and the other 2 facing at back of first 2)with RF fantic q series for mid& hi's, with an extra set of Tweets. Man that dudes **** I can say pound hard and very clean vith barely any rattles.

Lotsa goodies from Alpine/RF/JL, 1579 Watts, TV, PS2, DSP processor, everything lightweight quick-disconnect press-fit panels with Plexi and Purple neon, not a single screw holding anything together, took a month to fab......

Luther, love the setup. But wouldn't that make it easier for thieves?

I was wondering do you have kick panels/pods in your SC or thinking of doing them?

project, thx. Had actually started fabbing kicks until I realized that they would have to protrude a bit into the footwell in order to image them properly, not too much, but enough that they would get scuffed up pretty badly, especially on the driver side. Buuut, when I start on Luthor v2.0, i'll probably fab some shallow pods for the kicks and use some Neodymiums since they require less depth and are nice and light, we'll see. The difference in path lengths between the driver and passenger spkrs is terrible with the tweets mounted at the bases of the A-pillars like oe, but my signal processor has a time delay function that makes it bareable. As for how easy it is for thieves to steel the components with press-fit panels, yes, it'll take them less time, no doubt. Thing is, though, I never really park it in a public place, when we go out we take my girl's RX300 or her Blazer, so the SC just sits in the driveway mostly, i've only put maybe 6 or 7000 miles on it, and my driveway runs literally right up to the window next to where I sleep, they would have to be awfully fast to dodge a bullet once they got the trunk open...........

Thanks for the info Luthor. I was going to do kicks for my project sc300 once I get it. I guess I should start looking for speakers that require very little space. Once you start Luthor V2.0 I would love to see the kicks. Thanks again.

I guess that is why you rarely see SC300 w/ kick panels/pods.
