While I haven't had the problem of my clock not working on the SC400, I *did* have it with my 300ZX Twin Turbo. After taking it apart I discovered that the soldered joints inside the clock had cracked and were no longer making contact. I carefully re-soldered everything back together and it began working again like a champ.

I can't say whether this will resolve your problem, but it might be worth looking into. of course, that will necessitate you taking it out of the dash. Hopefully someone may have experienced a similar issue and can offer you some further guidance before you go to the trouble to take the clock out.

Sorry to revive this. I have the exact same issue. Cluster works fine. All the lights work. Temp gauge works, but the clock is stuck, with the colon ( blinking. Sometimes I can set the time (and then it will stay that way), and other times I cant even set it, as when I press the hour and minute button, the whole cluster starts blinking.... Any ideas?
When it first started happening, I would hit the top of the dash and it worked.....

Hmm. I wonder if this is something the folks at Tanin Auto encounter and can fix when they repair and update SC clusters. The clock module itself may be a separately removable unit. Not sure.

I just love how these problems transcend time and space- my clock stopped running a week or two ago, everything else in the gauge cluster works fine, the colon is flashing, and then I press the 'H' or 'M' buttons the entire cluster will flash on and off.

Appreciate Tanin offering to help, but did anyone determine a DIY solution? I know there was a suggestion of checking out the clock solder joints, which I will try first. I know on various electronics a button battery is sometimes used for the clock to keep time around the clock when said device is not in use, but for a car with constant access to 12V, I doubt that's the case here...
