Default Drift wheel suggestions

I just sold my work wheels and I am looking for a new set of wheels to drift in. I am getting work done to my car now and next time I drive it there should be 450 whp at my command. So considering this amount of power I opted to sell my 18x8/9 staggered set up and move up to 18x9/10. So with all the money exiting my pockets my budget for wheels is really modest. right now I have 1000 bucks and 2 work emotion xd9s.

So I am fairly open minded. but I do prefer a true race wheel. something light and strong. looks are nice too.. also fitment is important. I want to be able to fit a big tire back there. I am not trying to go 215 on a 10 in wheel. more like around 285. so fitment sb +35 or so.

I like ssr, works, advans... but dude 400+ bucks a wheel! the only reason i got my works is cuz i got a great deal.

now the question. what are some cheap/reasonable alternatives? I am starting to eyeball these knock off brands (Rota, XXR) curious what peoples thoughts/experience are with lower quality wheels.

Craigslist is your friend. Often times I see work wheels in your price range

Im not a drifter nor pretend to want to be, but i would think on my sc id not want more than a 17" so i can have a decent size tire (im talking about the wall) and to reduce the weight of the wheel with less Rim..
isnt that preferred??
and my tires alone jump from $164 for a 17" to $233 for the equivilant 18"
if im drifting.. i want a cheaper tire as im replacing them more often..

but ionno..

as suggested above i would go with rpf1's they are too sick for words and they are extremely affordable and light weight. xxr has been on backorder for a while do to the tsunami. good luck

i always felt this way too... weird how that has changed for a lot of ppl. back in my day we used to drift with 16's or 17's... and use 18's and 19's as our dailys

Kosei K1 TS (i think they're RPF1 knockoffs, but they're just as light if not lighter)
Enkei PF01's
MB Battle's
Enkei RPF1's

all solid choices and not crazy expensive.

as far as a daily rim goes.... the new Weds Sport SA-60M's perhaps?
