theres gs400 in the performance 2nd gen gs section check it out..guy spent stupid money on engine work, rods,pistons/rings,cams,fuel system, stand alone,BL build transmission...etc its a twin turbo car that makes 5XXrwhp...if you want to spend money like that to make under 600rwhp good luck..... plenty 2js us spec made close to if not 500rwhp on stock twins...think about this one really hard...this thread is pointless because there should be no argument. Love your 1uz? want to be different? stick with it...and stop comparing it to 2jz..because dollar for dollar its not even close.

which 500+hp probably gets up to speed faster? i have my money on the 1uz. i think thats worth going the different route instead of getting the ever so common 2jz. also your keeping the motor the car came with if you decide to use FI on a 1uz more than likely. THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION!!! =)
Apologies, to everyone for ruining the thread

if the 1uz-fe was so awesome in the SC aka Soarer, why did the japanese kill off that model with the V8 for their own country in favor of the naturally aspirated 2jzge engine?
the V8 model was only available for the first 2 or 3 years of the 3rd generation iteration of the Soarer for the Japanese Domestic Buyers.
the 1jzgte = 280hp
the 2jzge = 225hp
the 1uzfe = 250hp (non vvti)
i believe because the HP was so close and the fuel economy wasn't so great i believe thats why they ditched the V8 for this car.

Lexus was made to get into the U.S. market and that´s why they needed the V8 engine and auto trans on their models.
Fuel economy related, it´s reported that the v8´s have better mpg numbers than the i6.

If your feelings are getting hurt then don't read or post on this thread and just move on! The purpose of this thread was to have all owners of heavily moded SC's to post their numbers and slips if they have them and the poll was to see what most people rather have, period! If people are taking it out of context than oh well, that's what happens in the world wide web. I don't hate the 1uz and I consider my left lucky to have a 1uz, 1jz and 2jz to play with!

879.32 rwhp @ 28psi (will have another dyno at 34psi once I get a new drive shaft) There are many SC's with much more power than mine.

Can't believe I read this entire thread...
A stock OBDI SC400 is lucky to make 200rwhp. I have dyno'd many of them. Most make around 185 at the wheels. Not sure where some of the info in this thread has come from.
