i helped a freind of mine build a civic coupe with a v6 under the hood and a v6 in the trunk (v12 lol)... so anything can be done with the right amount of money... as for money to power ratio... a 1jz swap will cost u less and give u more power then trying to retro fit a v8 that will cost more to do and give u less power... this coming from a 1uz lover!
edit:decided to post pics before someone says its impossible or prove it... lol... the engines are from are rivals the acura legend.

Sc300 with a chevy auto powerglide count? Mine was over 1000whp last setup, ran 9.40 at 147mph on the only pass i could actually do in the 1/4. The intercooler pipes kept blowing off shifting to 2nd. Ran 6.08 at 127.8mph in the 1/8 and 1.40 60 footer. I pulled, fully rebuilt, all new 0 passes all forged ect, head is full crower, 272 cams (new, last setup was 264) new crower springs titanium retainers...blah blah blah. The last turbo was a gt4276 t4 at 39psi (i know, crazy right) fully buily powerglide, 1.80 gear, tci transbrake, bradco stainless custom convertor stalled at about 7000rpm (i know real high, had to build boost while staged) ran 28/10.5/15 MT slicks but still slipped and slided down the track. I have since traded off the rolling chassis with trans setup but still have the engine, all together, new, fresh and waiting for a nice high psi and some spray. There is a thread with the fastest sc's in it, top 20 i think, i missed 2nd by .04 seconds, the next in line is from about an hour from me, good guy (hal from injected performance) if there are faster sc's out there, pm me, post in there and show some slips. I also have this little engine for sale for rather cheap if anyone is interested pm me for a nice price.

ill take a 1-2jz to go. i tossed the 1uz that came with my sc4 in the trash. and i know it's a aluminum block. but call me crazy it appears as if the 1uz is heavier than the 1jz???
i know it's more bulky and has more crap to clear but it does appear to be heavy moving both engines on my lift.

Speaking of 1UZ performance parts....
http://ttcperformanceproducts.com/
Maybe if I ever become successful I will 'invest' in some of these products![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Until then, it is VERY easy to see why people prefer the xJZ motors. 30 grand to fully build a stroked xUZ motor... yikes....
This is coming from someone who drives an SC400 and loves it.
Edit: okay I exaggerated. If you don't go crazy, you can get them to build your motor for around 25k (lol). BTW, has anyone on here tried these parts out? I'd love to know if they're any good.

I didnt get a full pass, intercooler pipe blew off shifting to 2nd (about 100mph) so rest was no boost and just 70 shot nos. Full pass would have been 8's.
