i'm not trying to be a jerk but what does it say? for sc 300's. He has all positive feedback so you should be able to trust him. Plus ebay gives you insurance.

Hmmm...
I seem to recall a thread about the strut bars for the supra's not working onthe sc300's cause of the hood clearance problem.
forgot if I read it here or on the supra forums.

regards

Most likely it won't fit. I purchased a STB that said SC300 and Supra and it was far from working. eBay gives insurance? What planet do you live on. Please don't say it's one way unless you know for a fact. Opinions are fine, but false facts are not.

i'd really like to ask, whats the point?

why not put the money in some thicker sway bars or something? getting a superstiff front strut bar is pretty stupid and a waste of money... all it will end up doing is causing your car to understeer easier and rely on the tires more than the suspension...

you've got a RWD car here... you don't WANT to stiffen up the front it will only handle worse unless you're willing to unload more for stickier tires, then you can use the extra stiffness...
hell the car is already dialed in for a bit of understeer from the factory; if anything you want to stiffen the back

(not directed at Bean, just using his quote)

True...that's why you do it ALL. Sways, STB's, Wheels, Tires, Coilovers and all the other suspension bits...

BUT, it also helps if you know how to drive

Well please tell me when you get it then. I been looking for one for a looooong time. I've tried two that people said would fit SC300's, no luck. THe engine sits a little higher in comparison to the strut towers on the SC300 than it does on the Supra, hence the reason the bar always hit it for me.

Thx in advance!

SR

edit: I *could* actually bolt the STB on, but it would make this TERRIBLE rattle because it was holding against the intake. WHen I would hit the gas it would stop the engine from "torquing" over...and be VERY noisy in the process. So just it bolting isn't meaning it fits. Check for cleaance between the stb and intake.

I'm considering getting a front strut bar for my sc4; im riding on yokohamas on my stock 16's right now and was wondering if the strut bar will improve my handling at all with my setup as it is now. i plan on putting in the eibach/tokico combo later and am hoping a front strut bar will be a good, cheap upgrade to my suspension for the time being, or will it hurt my handling? does anybody know where i can order a rear strut bar?

I have a strut bar for a supra on mine, and there is barely any clearance for the intake manifold, but it still fits and it works pretty well IMO. You can take corners at much higher speeds with the bar.

it'll pretty much hurt your handling limits

it'll feel tighter for sure, no doubt... but your understeering limit will be dragged down a good bit...

someone with rear strut bar would run circles around you

buy a set of SupraTT sway bars and use those; its a much better upgrade
