Default Steering wheel tilt, and other electronic issues

Hello,

I have a 98' SC400 this is my 3rd SC400

To answer your questions, yes: I did try searching, however nothing pertained to my specific problem.

I just had a seat swapped out for a another one in better condition. However when I got the car back, my tilt was stuck in the up position, and will not budge. I had no problems with it previously. In addition, my interior lights no longer work, and my seat memory settings also fail to function.

Any ideas on what is causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think your searching needs a little work

Maybe I should have been more clear. The tilt function is not getting any power all of a sudden. Those do no pertain to me as in all of those threads, they had motors grinding or going out. That is not my problem.

still, there's lots of resources out there. use advanced search and you'll find your answer, or use a multi meter and check your fuses & wiring

loss of power to electronic components sounds like either a ground did not get reconnected or a blown fuse that is about the best answer i can give.first check fuses and if they are all good then pull the seat back out and have a look to make sure everything gets connected and has power. a test light as mentioned is what you need.
