I had a pair of needle nose pliers that were thin enough at the tip to fit into the slots that are cut into that nut. I spread the jaws wide and put each tip into the slots of the antenna nut. That gave me enough grip to break it loose and remove it by hand. If you could get a friend to help, you could both tap on a side with a screwdriver and hammer. The antenna nut is not that hard to get loose, but I suppose the most important thing is not to scratch the paint.

Tried the hammer thing at first yesterday, didnt even budge.
Even tried the needle nose...it did kinda move the nut...but not really.
Ill try again tomorrow, and if that dont work, swing by a mechanic and see if he can take it off real quick.
Im just going to buy a new silver nut, 8.00...because Ive scratched mine up. Is that black piece inside the silver nut part of the mast or ? I scratched that up too and might get that.

Nope, a pair of vice grips worked great. I would suggest if people are doing this to buy a new silver nut so you have a little more room to be tough with the nut. It costs like 8.00 at dealer.
