Damn $5800... I got my '95 SC400 for $3600 with 163K on the ODO... That's way too high bro... But you need to check leaks first, valve cover gasket, oil pan, hoses, rack and pinion boot, everything where there are fluids and oils coming out... Everything else is fixable...

IMO its not worth 5,800

I was able to pick up a 95 blk/blk 5spd 130k with coils for around 5k. I say wait and look around.

MAKE AN OFFER! You guys advising him to "keep looking" are steering him wrong. I think about 4500-4700 would be a great price for the car considering the rarity. But at the end of the day, it's hard to come up on a clean 5 speed. If you like the car make an offer for what you feel is fair

i agree... and for everyone else comparing... i got my car for 3100 but i have an auction license ... so assume 3100 being my cost plus 300 to ship thats almost 3500 if i didnt keep it i would have sold it for the same price he is getting his just like we did the other day that we sold one for almost 6k that was a manual. i think the guy is a part of club lexus and he jumped on it! (MINT)

and FYI ppl sell there car for wat they think its worth... as in if i have a guilty conscience because i feel the car has been giving me problems i sell the car for less then i would if the car has been nothing but perfect. its common sence. no one cares about u as a purchaser

Yes its true make him an offer before you pass it up.

my first offer would be closer to 3 grand and work your way from there.

if hes insulting you with his asking price dont be afraid to insult him with your offer price.

haggle for sure! but i gotta say cali seems to get way better prices then we do in texas. at least on the sc. here i have never seen a 5 spd below 4800 and that one had high miles. most i see are in the 130 145k miles and go for 5000 up. autos i see every day for 2000 up to 4000. autos are certainly cheaper and the dealers have it in their head that a manual sc is "super rare" they even go as far as to call them classic collectors. work em down. if you cant i would hold out for a newer year model. i got my 96 auto for 2200 in good shape.
