On August 20th my buddy and I will be traveling across country for college in Michigan... and we live in California. I have a 94 SC4, runs strong, 190,000, no mechanical problems.

What I want to know is what would you do to PREPARE your car for this journey?

Second is for those of you that live in cold winter states such as Michigan (snow snow snow!). What do you recommend doing to MAINTAIN the health of my car once I’m there?

Any other useful facts or maintenance/tune ups that you think would be relevant to my trip, just post and let me know!!!

Since you're moving out there, you should most definitely get a set of snow tires for the winter. People say you don't need them, but you don't want to be that guy that gets stuck at a green light.
