Default Soarer alternator swap question

I'm in the middle of a Soarer 1jz/r154 swap. I was following a few different swap threads on here but something came up that confused me a bit. In at least one of the threads, swapping the alternator from the sc300 2jz to the Soarer 1jz is required due to some sort of wire issues. Many other threads did not mention anything about alternator swap, just A/C compressor for simplicities sake.
Whats the story???
I took both off and looked at them side by side and can find NO reason why I couldn't use the soarer 1jz alternator instead of my beat up and oil drenched sc300 2jz alternator. Is there something I'm missing???

They are the same. My guess would be if your swapping a sc300 or 400. The earlier 300 would have right plug. But if you have a late 300 any year 400 the plug wouldn't match the 1jzgte alternator it being a round 3 wire. On my cell but further details to be had if needed once on my comp

That's all I needed to hear. I took both off and sat there for at least 10 minutes trying to find a SINGLE difference between the two. I'm gonna use the Soarer 1jz alternator now instead. From what I looked up, they even had the same amperage. Thanks for the confirmation of fitment!
