Default Factory pioneer sub amp question

Quick question regarding the item in the thread title... is the subwoofer's low pass filter from the amp or the factory head unit? I changed my headunit and am running the factory sub with amp and want to know if I should enable the low-pass filter on my new HU.

Thanks in advance.

I would rather keep the crossover point at whatever the factor had the sub calibrated at than alter it since my speakers are all still factory.

You need to set it on your headunit.

honestly i am running an aftermarket head unit with the factory sub amp and i do believe that the crossover was in the stock headunit. because it does not sound properly crossovered. i am looking forward to an amp with built in xover. i have enabled the headunit xover and it still does not feel right. in any case you should enable it with any amp.

I was getting a bit of vocals bleeding in from the sub when I did not enable the low-pass on the HU, but wasn't sure if that was normal or not. I will enable the low-pass on the HU.

Thanks for the info.
