Default MKIV Coilovers for SC300 with electronic lowering

I'm thinking of buying some coilovers they're used and they're for the MKIV. The seller states that they're electronically adjustable and are similar to the TEM lowering systems used in other Toyotas. I was wondering if anyone else has used these types of coilovers on their SC300/400. Post pics if you can. By the way i've searched quite a bit on info. So far I know they fit, i'm just in to see others' experiences with this, if any.

I think the coilovers you're looking at most likely have electronic dampening control. The closest thing I've seen to electronic lowering would be an air suspension or hydraulic setup.

The coilovers you're looking at wouldn't happen to be Teins would they?

They're supposedly JDM. I've been looking for deals on supra struts lately and ran into this thinking maybe this would be a cheaper alternative.

it says on there that it can be adjusted hydraulically, which is cool assuming you have the unit to adjust it with... you also have no way or rebuilding or replacing the shock should one take a crap....it sounds like a cheap way to get a big headache...might as well go with new shocks, and lowering springs..hell i'd cut the lowering springs rather than go with the ebay setup

Yeah i slept on it and realized it's a shot in the dark. I mean it has a chance of being a very good buy but at the same time it could be the complete opposite. I thought it might open up new ideas for suspension because i'm in the market for suspension and wheels atm.

seems like something is definitely missing from that set up.

How exactly would u 'electronically' control the hieght of these?

Definitely pass on these.

Definitely pass on those coilovers. I'm not even sure how you could electronically adjust the height on them.

There is supposed to be a hydraulic (or maybe air) pump somewhere with an ECU more than likely.

hence the super low price. u need the hydralic motor to operate these. those struts are useless without the rest of the parts.

I would pass, cause we dont have those on USDM cars, and GL trying to source more parts to make it work.
