If you wanna keep it stock, nothing really gives it enough boost for you to feel the difference, but K&N's are still the best...

prepare to be flamed. just warning you.

air filter, usually K&N is a good bet. otherwise, if you're looking for gains off an intake, everyone will recommend doing the BFI mod.

The BFI mod is probably the best intake you could get is the BFI intake. It's also the cheapest option.

But which filter works reallly well? There's the K&N, but what about HKS panel filter? Or TRD? I've done the BFI mod, but i'd like to get a new, good filter. Sorry to jack the thread bro, but i've always wondered the which filter is good.

Any of them is fine. I would go with whatever is the cheapest.

K&N is usually the most popular across the board for most cars.

I stopped recommending k&n once I read this:
http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/
in addition to not filtering, the oil can wreak havoc on the MAF sensor.
based on the results in that test, I would recommend an Apexi panel filter

I've got a TRD filter and so far so good. I've cleaned and re-oiled it twice already with no problems what so ever to the MAF sensor or other components.

Apexi is good drop in filter and it's fairly affordable; also it uses no oil.
