hi guys.i am new to lexus and just bought a 5spd sc300 with 150k miles.
the power steering only works at high rpm(some times does not)
Fill it up full then turn the steering to left and right.but the fuild spits back out.
does anyone hav this problem before ? and how you fix that?
I found a sensor on the steering rack ,but i didnt see any wire plug to it ?
what is that sensor for ?

At 150k miles, I'm sure the pump MAY be going out. I think you're better off just replacing the unit since it'll fall apart sooner or later.
If punching the hole doesn't work, I think it may be best to cough up some money to get a new pump. Either way, good luck with the troubleshooting!
