Default sub size in the trunk?

Want to put some subs in the trunk and was wondering what yall were using,
the most i can think of is 2 10s or maybe 1 12, what type of box do are yall using? any pics would be great

guy that works at custom sounds has an sc400 with one ten and he says his trunk rattles real bad, and that worries me hah

I currently have two JL W1's 12"s in a ported box from some Rockford Fosgate subs. The trunk rattle quite a bit too. You may want to use Dynamat to stop the trunk from rattling.

15in, memphis mojo. no rattling at all. Sounds perfect. Only enough room for the first aid kit...

I say two tens. Port the sound through the cabin either using the rear speakers or stock location.

thats probably the route im gonna take, i didnt notice a difference from the 1 12 and the 2 10s, seemed the same to me

thanks for the info everyone, seems like a pretty diverse mix of 2 10s and 1 12, gonna be a hard decision...

I just installed a 10" on the rear deck. Going to hide the amp behind the carpet in the trunk soon, so it will look completely stock. So it'll look clean! And I'll have my entire trunk to use for whats its there for LOL.

i've had two different setups so far, first was a single 12" L7 Solobaric Kicker sub with kicker digital mono amp and second was JL Audio 2 ch amp with dual 12" competition subs.. honestly, i'd prefer the single 12 or even a single 10 with amp mounted on top because it left enough space for set of golf clubs, lap top and a case of beer.

1 12inch JL with 1200 watt amp with vented box. minimal trunk space.

Quick Reply: sub size in the trunk?
