I have a pretty massive ac leak. On the last recharge I put in a can of r134 with uv dye. It has since leaked down and now I'm searching for the leak, which I can't find. I have checked everything under the hood and there isn't a hint of dye, how can I get inside the dash to check the condenser ? The car is a 95 and came r134 from the factory. Are there any other areas that are prone to leaking I should check ?
The condenser is by the radiator, the EVAPORATOR is "hidden" inside the cabin.
Evaporators rarely leak - but it does happen. I'd be more inclined to concentrate on the front seal of the compressor, and every o-ring connection - which are all outside the cabin.

What he said is true, I got confused between the two.
I haven't smelled anything inside the car, there just doesn't seem to be much else to check. The compressor and all of the lines under the hood and inside the bumper look clean. I've used uv dye on my STS and found the leak so I've done this successfully in the past. Is there any way to at least shine a light behind the dash to look for dye without removing everything ?
i hate ac, i took the evaporator lines loose hooked them to a reservoir put ice water in there and boom! cold air! it usauly lasts 15-20 mins but that is in my jeep but it works for most any car, just my 1.5 cent
