Default 92 Climate control help

I just picked up a 92 sc400 that only delivers max AC or max heat. Fan works at all level but i just cannot adjust temperature at all. I searched and some people say it was the outside temperature sensor and some people said it was the ambient sensor inside near the steering. can some body confirm it for me? thanks

I've got the same problem. I switched mines to 95 climate control because mines was burnt out. Best bet is to get a 92 and it should work fine

so your issue was from climate control itself? not the temperature sensor?
thanks

Some years will interchange, some wont, just work on high and max speed. The 92-94 same, 95-96 same, 97-2000 same, someone correct me if I am wrong. Pull it out and double the numbers on the top or bottom of the unit, then verify on here.

I've got a 93 "brain" that you can swap your current LCD on to (few phillips screws and two ribbon connectors).

My 95 wouldn't run anything except high and low with the 93 brain, but as soon as I hooked my original 95 in there with the LCD off the 93, it worked fine.

actually the problem is that it is always has max cold AC...but if i just adjust the climate control by a nortch ( i.e 64 degree), it will blow out hot air. so this for sure is "ecu" issue?

I don't want to say that for sure. I had an issue with my temperature control **** that if I went too far it would throw off the temperature from what it was reading.
