Default Bought some new SHOES for my SC400

Hey CL,

So i haven't been on for a quite some time and i have not really had the time or money to do anything to the SC. I bought my Silver 2000 SC400 fully stock a while back. It is still completely stock but i am slowly starting to work on it. I just bought some new wheels for it. It desperately needs to be lowered (but I'll be waiting a while for the funds), and i want to tint the windows also. But i went on a little midnight photo shoot in SF to show you all how it looks with the wheels.

The wheels:
- TSW Snetterton's 19X8 Fronts / 19X9.5 Rear
- I think the offset was 40 all around (don't quote me on that one though)

And trust me.... I KNOW it needs to be dropped. I'll get there. Still debating on whether i should just get springs because of the money issue for me (starving college student), or if i should wait a while and save up for some coilovers. I want the coilovers really bad but i cant stand to see my car sitting up so high for that long.

The first photo is of the car before the wheels, the rest are after the wheels.

clean sc, wait out a little bit longer and save up for some coils, look in the classifieds, from time to time a clean set of coilovers will pop up and u can save some money.

Great find on a 2000 400. Those are very rare. Just save & get coils. Megan EZ's are like 650 shipped. I do like the wheels good fitment. When you drop it, you will be happy with the wheel fitment (+40). You will not have to do any shaving or rolling of the fenders.

Thanks for the offer man, I did some research on the forum today and i think im going to save up for some Coils. I want something comfortable with a really nice Daily Driver feel but i want to be able to adjust the height a bit to see what i really want. Good luck on your sale though. Thanks for the compliments!

Oh.... And i bought the car for $10,000. It had just under 80K original miles and was BONE stock which was exactly what i was looking for. And the guy had it in mint condition. I couldnt find a scratch or a door ding on it anywhere.

And to 1992Lexus... My dad helped me out on the buy. I definitely didnt have enough to get it all on my own. He lent me a couple thousand for it.

To megamax... I was super skeptical before buying them. I couldnt make up my mind between 18's and 19s. But i looked around at other SC and decided 19. I'm really happy with them.

to spdrcr771... Thanks for Megan suggestion. I looked into them and they look like a D*mn good buy for me. Exactly what im looking for. Comfortable ride and i can drop it. Im looking to get around a 1.75 to 2 inch drop. Somewhere around there. We'll see. And i can afford those pretty soon hopefully.

Thanks guys!
