Hi,
I need an oak colored radio **** for the Power/Volume **** on my stock system. When I bought the car, the missing **** didn't look like too much of a problem. Guess what, Lexus does not offer that part.

Do any of you have this **** available in your spare parts that you could sell to me?

Otherwise, I'll have to put a washing machine **** or something on there.

You can find these in the junkyard. Tap recycling has quite a few SC's in stock but they're located in Sacramento, CA I believe. Do a search on the web for junkyards in your area.

I think your dealer is giving you BS. I cant see them not offering that part. I would email BMA Auto parts in California, and they will try to get it for you.

It maybe kind of true. Tried to order a seat position switch. Special ordered it and it came but, I told them to send it back. They called me up a couple of days later .They could order it but, not the same interior color. The switch was only offered in black only. Good luck finding the ****. I think even in recycling places. They will only sell you the whole radio not, just the ****.

I just dont understand that.....they should be able to order anything. Seriously...if you have parts you think cant be ordered, try Pat at above address and he will likely get what you need, special order or not. He has a lot of connections.

I'll give him a try, but it is not in the Lexus parts book, and the dealer and Irontoad and that Toyota/Lexus salvage place all say nyet.

For starters I'll buy a black generic **** at Radio Shack.

Well, Yves at BMA said they can special order the ****. That's the good news. The bad news is that it costs $188!!! because it's part of the A/C switch assy.

This is like a frigging $300 hammer or $500 toilet seat for the Defense Department.

Grrrrr.

I don't think I'll be ordering it.

jeez, at those prices you'd probably be better off to go back to the wrecking yard, buy the whole radio, keep the ****, throw the rest away

thats just like the dealer trying to charge me 180bucks for a burnt out led on my a/c unit....
