Default Quick ?, alternator plug...

whats up CL

i have currently on my car the circular alternator plug.
i just received an alternator with the oval plug.

my question is can i get ahold of an oval plug and and splice it into where the circular plug was to change my system into the oval plug.

you should be able to. they are both 3 wire plugs. Where did you get the alternator from? What year is your car?

Sounds like you got an alternator from a 92-95 and you have a mid 95+

the alternator was from a 94 sc300 i believe, my car is a 94 sc400.

if its possible than i shouldn't have a problem swapping them out and the system should work fine right?

should work fine as long as you know which wires go where and do a proper job of splicing in the connector.

Its just a matter of splicing the wires into its respective color right?

The wire colors are the same, later model uses thinner wiring but it doesn't make a difference.

I've been running mine this way for a long time.
