When I'm in a hurry, and don't have time to warm up my engine, and shift from P to D, I get a loud clanking sound and the car just budge forward aggressively. It doesn't happen though when the engine is warm, but I mean really warmed up. It's becoming annoying because I know it's not normal...Anybody else have this problem? What's causing it? And how do I fix it?

mine does it too and its super annoying... i noticed also that it may be cuz wen it cold starts it revs high so basically its like pressing the gas and throwing it into drive at the same time. once its warmer the idle lowers more therefore not putting so much strain on the tranny when u put it in drive... thats my theory
note:my car revs higher then normal i have to fix that... but it think everyones car revs high at cold start. mie revs high all the time

Do yourself a favor and have the entire system flushed and replaced with fresh fluid by a profesional. When I first did the tranny filter I just drained the tranny pan and then topped off the fluid (which only replaces 2 quarts of the 10 or so quart capacity) so after about 2 months the symptoms slowly started coming back, so i changed the filter again and had it flushed at my buddies shop. Now it's been over 5 months with no problems.
And my car wasn't terribly neglected by the previous owner either, the tranny filter/ fluid was done at like 125k(have service records) and I did the filter at like 178k

Thanks for the tip, although I know how to flush the tranny fluid.. I researched that also because I know there is 10quarts or so total, but in the pan it's only about 2quarts that you can flush, it turns out(based on my research) there is a different plug so you can flush the one in the transmission itself, and this plug/hose is the one that leads directly to the radiator transmission cooler..
