Have read the Leather threads, have questions
How successful would an upholstery shop be in matching existing leather? I really only need the driver seat done. If a good shop can match the other seats and stuff, I'd prefer to do that.
In the threads, there was a lot of interest in the kits that www.leatherseats.com was offering. Has anyone installed one? How did it turn out?
Thanks!

I posted a thread around here and pictures on my interior.
It came out excellent and people have said they cannot tell. Including the Lexus Service Guy.
I would really suggest just getting the whole kit for $700
I think that a local shop would charge you MORE to do the one seat and it will NEVER match. You could order the front driver seat replacement OEM leather cover. I think it is $500+ thou, and it will not match your older leather.
I went thru ALL of these options and found www.leatherseats.com solution to be the best. I installed it myself and love it.

At the shop you're going to be paying for the labor, so it's not surprising that the kit by itself would be less expensive. I've seen the interior in pcmw's car and it looks very nice. Definitely looking at that option from leatherseats.com for myself.

I have leatherseats.com leather on my Maxima, black with blue suede inserts... beautiful great quality leather my advice is to order perforated inserts as its more money but the whole seat is leather instead of just the seating surfaces... or talk to Eric about that great quality and not that hard to install yourself just get something strong to cut the hog rings... and a person to help

Keith,
This was talked about twice already. I think Manaray was waiting for the dust to settle on the other group buys.
I think if we show intent to buy more than 5 kits, Eric at www.leatherseats.com may be able to handle all the details directly. They have a pricing grid already constructed for this.
Everyone I know has had great success with the kits.

Would the kits all have to be SC kits for the group buy discount? I really want a Leatherseats.com kit for my '96 ES, but nobody on that board will commit to a group buy

I would probably be interested in buying through the group buy. If it doesn't happen for a while and I miss a thread on it, someone please send me a message so I can jump on board.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Keith,
Do you know what the price would be if you had 5 people for it? Also, would there be a discount on the perforated seats if others went with the normal seats?
Thanks,
