im gonna bump this because i think this just happened to me. It was fine one moment then when i got home (luckily i took friars doing like 40mph, carbon fiber hood) the hood was popped. It wouldnt lock so i thought maybe the latch part of the carbon hood wasnt long enough. But even when i take a screw driver and push the latch all the way down it clicks but doesnt lock. Im hoping its just the cable...

MIKU...any info as to how you swapped it?

^ had the same issue. make sure you have some slack on the lever ( its adjustable up and downard) so that it is not already toggling the open position. its two screw behind the lever.

Sure man.

Right in the front of the car theres the latch, theres 2 or 3 bolts that hold it in. Just take those out and you got a dangling latch. The cable was a little hard to take out for me but it just takes time. Then under the dash where the hood latch is there should be two screws holding it. Take them out and disconnect the cable.
The cable is runs through the bottom of the fender with the harness which is why mine was all chewed up. I simply ran the new cable above the fender but not in the engine bay if you get what i mean.
Hopefully this helps you out, If not then just play around with the latch in the front, the lock may just be jammed.
