Default Key battery replacement

Nevermind. It snapped off. I was a little timid about prying too hard.

Yah, after removing the screw, I use a knife blade to gently pry up the edge around the outside. It sorta snaps off. The battery is a 1216 lithium watch battery. Cost me $3.16 yesterday.

Thanks. I found out it didn't need the battery anyway. I didn't know that there was a switch for the remote under the dash - new car to me.

LOL, yeah the switch disables the remote unlock feature. In my case, though, the battery in my key was original. Lasted 10 years. Not bad even for lithium.

At least the remote works. Did you check both keys? on my green SC one key work and the other doesn't, even with new battery.

They both worked. I bought two batteries before I found out. I guess I'll have spares when the time comes.

Even with a new battery my key's a little flakey. Sometimes I have to squeeze it together AND press the button at the same time.
