Hey guys I was just wondering how long it took you guys to find your sc. I loved this car since I was 10 (Im 18 now) and I bought a 98 sc300 last year. Ive been looking sinve summer of 09, and by looking i mean checking newspeapers craigslist and other sites once every two days so it took me about a year to find it. How long did it take you??

No Im polish to the bone. My russian friends gave me that nickname. Thanks for all the responses guys, and just like most of you, it took me a long time to find mine because I wanted the perfect one, and a lot of the listings online did not reveal the truth about the cars, so I finally found my 98

It took me about 15 minutes to find my SC400.
I drove all the way to St. Louis from Kansas City to look at a "perfect" E39 540i 6-speed which turned out to be a complete waste of time. I was really bummed and my girlfriend and I got a hotel for the night, expecting to go home empty handed. I went to the lobby of the hotel and started searching craig's list for anything good and found my SC, which was for sale about 15 minutes form the hotel and bought it the next morning. The guy was the original owner and had all service records back to the very first oil change. Always dealer serviced and garaged, never driven in the winter. The car looks and drives like brand new. It even came with an in-dash Kenwood touch screen navi/dvd unit with a complete (and properly amped) apline component system. All it needs is a proper stance now. Couldn't be more satisfied and definitely prefer it over the BMW's I was interested in.

I've always wanted a SC400 ever since I was a teenager but couldn't afford one so I bought one of these:
And when this happened:
I immediately thought to myself this is a perfect opportunity to look for a SC so I sold the Conquest TSI and found my SC400 in two months.Which was like this minus the tint when I first bought it:
Added a wise lip and had it resprayed:
Changed the wheels:
Changed them again:
And redid the interior from this:
To this:
In close to a years time.

Literally 3 days.. ahh i remember it like it was yesterday. I just blew a head gasket and warped the heads on my chrysler 300 and realized I wanted something a little more fun... In the limo to prom a couple days later a white sc400 with a set of 20" wheels with a nice lip pulled up beside me and I turned to my girl and my buddy steve and said I want that car. Hopped on my laptop drunk after we got home from the after party and began searching right away. Went and picked it up 3 days later on the monday 1993 dwp sc400 with 97 bumper. Few weeks ago while looking for parts on Kijiji I found the white sc that I originally saw up for sale! Saved the pictures as a momento haha

Mine is kind of a creeper status one.....took me about 4 months of restless searching on craigslist. I looked everywhere. Washington, Houston, Nevada, etc till I found the right one lol. and I made sure I didn't settle with w.e. just popped up. I almost did...and just as I was gonna give up and just settle I found a 1jz swapped sc300 with a few other goodies for the perfect price picked up the car in San Fran, drove it back to az

Took me about 3 months. Also craigslist creeping... I almost bought a 300Z TT but decided I would be settling. A few days later, about to give up, I checked a local board and there she was. Awwww, love at first sight.
