stick with the stock motor. If your asking these questions your getting in way over your head too fast! Not trying to be rude but you need a laundry list of things. If you want a 400 motor then trade your 300 for a 400 and go from there...

Don't get the motor... you should search before you post. 400 has little aftermarket support and it is expensive to modify. If you like the 1uz then buy an sc400. keep your stock motor and go na-t or swap it with a 1j or 2j. There is no point in putting in a v8 in your 300.

Indeed, if you want a V8.. of weel , just trade it for a sc400. As some other members stated a 2jzge Na-t will be your best bet. If you add a turbo to the equation I am, sure you will be making 340 hp with just a turbo kit and some tunning.

dont waste your time my friend 1uz = lots of money to modify, but thats if your actually planning to mod your car, otherwise keep what you got the 2jzge to 1uz is not worth the time, money, or headache or like everyone else said trade it for a 400 if you really want the v8

Personally I would have to agree with the rest of the group.. stick with your stock motor.. If your looking for a little power boost there are plenty of kits out there to go NA-T for less then what you would spend on swapping the V8..

im a 1uz guy but im still with everyone here.

The swap is going to be a pain and the 1uz is hard to modify after its in.

The only benefite to going 1uz is they are extremely cheap to buy , ebay has them for around $500 with very low mileage(30-40 000miles)

We need more info, do you know how to swap the engine yourself or are u paying someone else?

How many miles on your 2jz also .

DO NOT buy this motor. Complete waste of money. Doing the swap might cost you almost what you paid for the car and is not worth it. Sell the 300 and buy a 98-00 SC400 if you want a 400 so bad. Otherwise the 300 is better cause than you could turbo it easily.
