Default infinite baffle/free air setup?

Has anyone found a drop in IB setup for the SC??

My sub is dead, but I really don't want to get a sub and box to lose trunk space.

Any suggestions?

I did find the Kicker 10C104, but I don't know how long it is.

The Kicker will work with a spacer ring. It will also do much better than stock, although you'll probably want to give it more power.

Yeah definitely, I'll have to look into that spacer ring.

Is this something you've tried? Or heard of someone trying?

I have an amp running all of my interior speakers, and if/once I do another sub, I'll most definitely run another amp for that one too.

yeah that was my thread on replacing the stock sub. i ended up using a polk audio sub. it was not free air. and i still have not heard a free air sub that sounds right. with the polk sub there pretty much was not enough room for an enclosure unless i raised the mounting ring another 1/2".

bleedspeed:

Do you even think searching for a good free-air is a worthwhile idea?

honestly i have only heard a few but they were expensive high quality subs and coming from someone who is used to a pair of 12"s in the trunk personally they sound like crap. the bass notes just do not have the proper tone. if you read my thread you will see that you do not need a free air sub in the stock location. if you want to save your whole trunk this is the best option. otherwise look into a small sidewall enclosure for the trunk.

I absolutely LOVE IT - i dont care what people think. theres nothing in this car that beats infinite baffle/free air -
the nearly 80L gas tank muffles out too much sound from the trunk to have subs in the back and have quality sound, and anything thats not free air in the back parcel shelf just doenst sound as it should. .IMO.

Theres been some threads on this question already.. but heres ones with pictures of this sub in the soarer.

What did you make the box out of on your sub? I'm actually starting to think I may be better off with just going with a sub box.

This one seems really nice, and still decently compact
