Default 93 sc300 starter replacement alternative??

I need a new starter. My current one is dead. Looking on line for the part I noticed that some site put the 91-92 toyota supra and cressida along with the 91-93 sc300.

is it basically the same exact part? When I go on toyota sites, the supra or cressida starter is always about $10-15 cheaper that the lexus sc300 model.

Same company.....What you guys think? Can someone confirm this???

well if it is only 10 or 15 dollars cheaper, why not the lexus starter? Eliminate all second thoughts and sleep well at night knowing you have a genuine lexus part

^^agreed, "basically the same exact part" is not the same and the price you might be saving is not worth the hassle to me I'd spend the extra money to get a part known to work

I would try it, the transmissions are the same on the early SC's as the MKIII, so I don't see why the starter would be different.

I would buy one from an autoparts store, and if it doesn't work you could always just go return it, just a matter of labor
