You should price compare getting a new motor vs getting new heads. I can tell you that people charge more for the car because it looks difficult to work on, but it is not that complicated. I do have some advice that you might want to hear... Whatever you do with the engine issue make sure you have the starter and timing belts changed on either the new motor before you put it in or on your current motor when you have the heads redone. Together, on that V8 engine it will run you about $2000 if you don't have someone to do it for you. If they are already in there or the motor is not in the car it is a WHOLE LOT easier and will cost you less in the long run.
I love the sound of the 8 as well...Looking to replace the stock mufflers..was going to go with Borla's but REALLY DO NOT want my car to sound like an American car....because it's not..so I'm a little torn on that right now...I don"t know if we will be fixing the other one yet. We currently have been taking any pieces that are better than the one I am driving and switching..like the hi-beam lights...the blown one has glass and mine has plastic and I want the taillights too as they are the white and red vs. all red..We just put a brand new starter for Lexus in the blown one so eventually if we get in that far I will be keeping that...just trying to make her pretty now since she is running completely stock.

lol...after everything he's been through with that car he absolutly hates it...She has fought back on everything we try to do to it. For example I went and got an alignment last week and it took them 2 hours just to do the alignment and they still couldnt get it spot on..Don't think we will have matching cars anytime soon.Besides he's a Nissan guy in love with the 280z's he has 3...

I'm not too far...I'm in Jax so it's cold and rainy it doesn't feel like a FL day here. I prefer sunny and hot..good thing about FL is next week it probably will be
