Default My 1 month old SC

So I bought this SC I was in love with. It was overheating and told it needed a fan pump. I bought one from here on the board only to put it on and find out its a blown head. I bought it for $1500 and spent close to another $2000 to get her stock which included having my boyfriend changing the PITA starter...I feel sick now...

SCgirl, welcome to CL...damage is done, live and learn. Take that SC, show it some love...bring it back to the way it should be. You're in the right place, there's an abundance of knowledge here. SEARCH, and search often. If you're thinking it, chances are-it's already been done by another CL member. Tons of DIY write ups here. Don't get discourage, and enjoy the building...post pics when you get a chance. GL

Yea putting these SC back together after lack of maintaince from previous owner(s) is going to be a PITA and in ur wallet.... I found that out the hard way....So let me tell you what my friend with an SC told me, "This is NOT going to be a cheap car"...."you may think your getting a gool deal on that SC but wait til those repairs start coming"

BUt stay strong, dnt give up, if you really love ur SC, take it one step at a time and put it back on the road....your going to love it even more when you see it fully restored

I have pictures but I am on mobile right now and can't post them. I will try my first picture post tomorrow. I do still love the car even after spending the bread...this is my first project but not my first time around projects. My old man has 3...I was just hoping for a better outcome than a blown head. But I will eventually fix her...

Yay! Another girl on the boards! We are rare here, haha. Must be upsetting to get a new car only to find out there are problems with it. I hope things go well with it soon!

dont feel bad. some of us have more than $10K+ in our cars, not including engine swap. think of it this way, how many times will you have to replace that starter or that blown head gasket
