1UZ + Nitrous
I'm wanting a little more power and speed out of my SC400 and aside from intake, exhaust, and a tune, nitrous is the cheapest way to go about it. Super/turbocharging is way too expensive. So anyone here spray their SC?? How well does the 1UZ respond to nitrous? How well does it handle it? I'm thinkin maybe just a 100 shot, nothing too crazy (like the 2 stage 300HP setup going on my Nova). Anyone think it's a bad idea? Any reason why I shouldnt do it??

Try it! I remember in high school we had a few cars with nitrous and I must say considering we didnt tune any car for it and just kinnda guessed we had some pretty good results as well. Spec-v sentra with75 shot, lt1 transam with 100, 5.0 mustang with a 100, 150, then with 200 the intake manifold blew off and still managed to drive it home after the track. So anyways try it just start with a small "dosage" and also I would recommend running a wideband.

Sounds cool. I will have a tune on the car for sure, I have other cars but I still don't want to blow it up, HAHA.
The car feels strong until the top of the powerband so I figured the 100 shot would really wake it up. I'm sure with the full exhaust, cold air intake, and a tune will really make for a sleeper on the street.

I used to run a 175 shot on a 5.0 fox body back in the day and LOVED IT!!! id say go for it man a 1uz should hold a 150 shot with no issues at all.
Just make sure you use a WET kit like compucar/nitrous works. Id run far away from ZEX, i saw many a motor blown due to a zex dry kit, i used to call zex a motor rebuild in a bottle LOL

I would say around a 100 shot would be safe for all the time and tranny holding up. Thats the research that i found out by reading other peoples results. Stay with a wet shot.. The 1uzfe is a beast for reliability but when modding is sooooooooooo expensive. Keep us posted.
