any particular reason you would want to do it? It's not hard, it's not easy....it's annoying on a luxury car

If you want to drive with no PS, go by an old Chevy Luv.

When my car would shut off randomly, I would go around turns and then bam, the PS will obviously cut off and it's a pain in the *** to turn this car even at slower speeds with out PS. Do yourself a favor and get it fixed.

Dude, it really sucks! My Power steering pump went out when the shop change the rack and piñon. So I've been driving it for 2 years with out no PSP.. The annoying part is when you park or parallel your car into tight spaces, the steering wheel is pretty tough.. Lol

You should change it if it's not working. Good luck

I've driven 2 days without power steering when it went out. Never again. It takes a lot of effort to park and go around tight turns at low speeds. I mean, I had both of my hands on steering when turning. Not fun at all.

It is a bit hard to turn on low speeds. I was flushing it yesterday to rid some air in the system because the copper crush washer was done and was leaking bad, took an hour before the fluid calmed down. Replaced them with aluminum crush washers, so far so good, no leaks.

On my track and autox cars, I have run without PS but I would not recommend it on a daily driver. Won't do any harm aside from maybe a little spilled fluid, but it is NOT fun when trying to park.

On highways, it actually feels pretty great. It really makes the car feel more "direct"

From my expearience, if your going to try deleting the P.S. , then take the lines loose at the rack and drain most of the fluid out since youll be fighting against it.

the fluid is the only thing lubricating the system the best thing to do would be buying a manual rack and pinion as they use grease not ATF fluid.

OP for what it is worth i wouldnt lose the power steering unless ur using your car for drifting or drag racing. lets face it a luxury car with out power steering is like **** on a bull.

now if ur deleting it for a drift or drag car that u use on the streets your arms will get a work out. i deleted my 88 mustangs power steering and at higher speed it is fine to drive at parking lot speed it is a bit annoying as my toothpick arms have to work! lol again my mustang is not a daily driven car anymore and i deleted it for less parasitic drain and weight reduction.
