I've got a cutout on my Supra right after the downpipe, the car is definately faster with the cutout open. It's loud as hell though, but you can really hear the turbo spool up, I love it.
To the thread starter, not feelin the center exhaust on the SC. But it's your car so do what YOU want.

it all depends on size of the single vs dual. SO a single 2.5 performs like a dual 2". A single 3" is like a dual 2.5". A single 4" is like a dual 3". NO dual is better then single or visa versa as long as the size is matched up correctly. If you got some mountain 600+cid engine then maybe a single isnt a way to go when you have to run a dual 3.5" or 4" exhaust a 6" single isnt an option for some cars due to no room when youre making over 1500hp. Most normal engines need back pressure to produce torque, just like putting a dual 3" exhaust on a 1uz will hurt your low end because you are not getting enough back pressure therefore making the car slower. Horsepower is calculated number out of trq

Been gone a while but thank you all for your opinions, I will probably stick with duals but when I boost im not sure what to do cuz it sounds like i will lose power with dual exhaust an the single exhaust coming out of one of the cutouts an having the other cutout empty haunts me, is their something else I could do to correct that? could it be as simple as wider inlets an outlits on the mufflers?

Well of course! But just the whole single exhaust thing throws everything off when its sticking out of one cutout an leaving the other vacant IMO, even if you get the cutout delete.
It would be purely aesthetics, dont like the single exhaust only filling one cutout an leaving the other blank
That is pretty badass!
