cd player wiring
i got the 1987 and up toyota wiring that matches with my 92 sc300, and i had a orange wire left on it and all the wires from the cd player are matched up.
any help would be appreciated because the cd player is not turning on.
it fits in the two plugs perfectly and the other two plugs that are not being used are for the cd changer

as far i knw, there hasnt been a working dash wire kit for the sc besides metra (i think)
but anyway orange should only be for illumination (99%) of the time but that shouldnt effect it turning on or off, check your fuse to make sure it didnt blow as you were putting the wires together, happens quite often, and make sure your cd player is in working condition

wires
i have the 116 amp one already i just didnt wire it in i used the scosche and it matched everything up.
but still no power i know the sc300 stock radio needs the power button on the bezel to be hooked up and pressed to work.
i tried doing it, but no dice. do i need to splice into the power wire to power up the cd player?

u shouldnt need to splice any wires for it, did you check the fuse? and also idk if the scorshe one works cuz i havnt heard of anyone using it, but the metra should work,
if not ull do what most people had to do and hard wire it,i actually think hard wirirng it slightly a better fix that way you know how good the speaker wire is and its bttr than the stock wiring

hardwiring is running everything directly from the head unit itself, headunit to the speaker using your own speaker wire, find a 12v and a ground and n accesory wire just run it all without the stock wiring, theres also a write up to run it from the stock wiring do a search for it

u can do it that way, or the way i did it is run directly from the head unit and i havnt had any problems with it
