If he's been driving it a year, you probably are fine. Whenever I buy a used car I change all the fluids anyway regardless of the situation. Then I know when they have been changed and what's in them. If you aren't feeling real good about it, take it to a "inspect before buy" place... for $150 they will go completely through it.

Personally, if he seems on the up and up, I'd buy it. Or you are going to have to get him hooked up here because there are tons of people that are going to jump at it...
