Sc stories

I bought mine from a small used dealer here in NE. The original owner was the wife of a hotshot owner of BMW Lexus Mercedes-Benz and Porsche dealerships in Omaha, so we knew it would be pretty damn perfect. Well we went in to look at a 71 T/A 445 4 speed for sale for like 1300 bucks. It needed EVERYTHING. But my mother refused so we looked at this Lexus that just pulled in. The guy said it was a V6 from the Supra (so I was already excited knowing it was a 2JZ) and FWD (wtf?). We took it for a test drive and decided that this was the one. My parents figured itd be cheap to insure and get good gas mileage and would be safe! Only problem is, a Family from another town was on their way to buy it..so my dad raced home, wrote the check, and we drove out as they drove in!

I haven't bought a ride(TOY) in about 6 years. I've always driven demos as a manager for a Toyota dealership. I wanted an SC that didn't need much work that's tastefully done because I don't want to catch the "Tuner Bug". So I found my car on Ebay! Wanted a car with the basics..nav, rims, bolt ons, and black. The previous owner was stationed in Japan and shipped his SC from the states. He then sent it to Toyota of Higashi and rebuilt the motor with all oem parts with some Soarer goodies. Then he painted the car Nissan GTR Black. I purchased his car with 2k miles on the motor and 170k on the body. It turns out he used to hang out with some "Big Wigs" in Japan with some major hookups on parts. Well now I caught "The Bug". He sent me gte(50k mi) w/getrag (arrived in Jersey last week). He wants me to drive there and install it for FREE! What a Jackpot!! I thank him everyday for his generosity. Next shipment wheels and some rare Jap stuff!

Before I could buy an SC I had to sell my band van. The SC I wanted was too much, owner ease asking $6000 so I opted to go for one I found in Colo. Springs. Right as I was getting ready to leave to owner of the $6000 SC calls me and says he'll drop the price to $4000 and when and then tells me that where he was with the car just so happened to be 3 blocks from my house, so he stops at my house and I gave him the money he then asks me if I could give him a ride home to Colo. Springs. Since I was getting ready to go there anyways I figured why not. So my first drive in my SC was from Denver to Colo. Springs (1 hour drive) to give the owner a ride home in his now old car.
Looking back at it, I'm so glad I bought the one I did because the leather seats are in mint condition and I still have yet to see another SC with original seats in as good of condition as mine.
Even though the car only had 108,000 miles on it, I completely rebuilt the engine including all new gaskets on everything about 4 months ago. The car runs like its brand new now.

i got my 93 sc3 155,5xx for 3400 from a family who (son {40 something} passed car to daughter who was in school, daughter didnt want it later on, so son gave it to elderly father {70-80 something}, father couldnt drive it so y have it sitting there, so sold to ME ... best car i ever owned...
just recently realized my back tires are bald with the internal wires coming out, and car was off alignment and balance, i always drive with trac control off.
and with all this while leaving my job which had just watered grass (sprinklers water the road more than the grass) i gave it half throttle {keep in mind sc300 are powerful} as i cleared the turn i tried keeping control but i could i smashed into a curb and messed up LUCKILY only my rear left suspension which i just fixed..
