Default Check Eng. and Trac Off Lights on... Help?

So when I started up my car to go to school this morning, I noticed the Traction Control Off and Check Engine lights were both light up on my dash. I went ahead and drove to school, and on the way I noticed my turn signals weren't working. I could pull the stick down, and it would re-position itself like normal after I completed a turn, but nothing was flashing. On the way home today however, my turn signals worked fine. Idk if that has anything to do with it or not. Anyway, the car doesn't feel any different driving than normal, and gas mileage doesn't seem effected. It just kinda seems a bit slower and more reluctant. Thinking the problem could be that fact that I put 87 in at the pump instead of 93 last time D:. It's been half a tank so far, could that be the problem? Or anybody else have any ideas?

Thanks for reading my long post btw lol xD

Go to a local advanced/autozone and ask to borrow their code scanner. Run the code. Then come back here with it. You'll be able to get a much better answer.

it is always best to use recomended fuel, in this case out cars use premium fuel. that may be the start of your issue. as stated above taking the car to a local autozone for a free code check is the best way to start they will also give u a list of possible causes. once u get those post back and we can help u from there. as for your traction light did u try pushing the button on the passenger side of your shifter? when depressed with the car off the traction off light will illuminate

thanks I'll take it over there. and lol it's definitely not the button. When I start her the Trac Off lights off and then proceeds to come on in like 10 seconds. When I push the button it works like normal, but once the light comes on after about 10 seconds the button has no effect.

So today, I start her up from school, and I'm about to head to my local autozone. And the the check engine light is off and the Trac Off light has is also off. My car also feels like it responds better that it did, even before the light came on. Maybe I just had some less than par gas in it that was causing my problems, and it got used up? Any other ideas? Still probably going to take her in and get the oil changed and filter changed soon anyway
