Advise wanted for my n/a build
So I have decided that this car is going to be my daily and likely won't see any swaps, or turbo kits until the original motor calls it quits(its at 182k right now)
So im looking for a few opinions...
The stock intake. Im sure toyota has a good idea and dindnt just waste millions, And I know a cai isn't going to produce uber power, be actual cold air, or any more than 5hp. That being said it seems a smooth and straight pipe would be beneficial. The sock intake is kinda ribbed toward the tb and I cant fathom the point of the pockets in the intake and the open nature of a cai would allow more air in.
Exhaust. Any header recomendations. From what I have searched on the forum obx is the popular sc brand, but many say no to obx. What header/midpipe combo is preferred? Should I search for supra headers instead?
Pulleys. Again, I did a search, as well as googled. Some say they are junk, some say go for it. My last performance car was a mustang and I can say that one brand had a tendancy to warp, or break off the external balancer, they worked, and gave a noticeable difference. What is the case on the 2jz motor?
The rear end. The gearing from the facrory is nice, but I dont like 1 tire fire. What brand of lsd is peferred?
Brakes. This ***** is heavy lol. Are stock supra brakes a good upgrade, or should I look elsewhere?

Plain and simple, if you plan on swapping the motor or going NA-T, any NA mods you do would be a waste of money; better saved towards the swap. If you really want to build an exhaust, build from the midpipe back. That way the back half will be done and all you'll have to deal with is the downpipe.
Pulleys are a waste of money. They do not not yield a significant gain, leave those stock, especially the crank. Some make the mistake of buying a solid crank pulley without a harmonic balancer, your motor will tear itself apart without one.
Rear end wise, swap in a Supra TT 6-speed torsion or TRD diff and call it a day. The 6-speed will be the cheaper of the two; depends on your choice of drivetrain. No need for aftermarket nonsense.
As far as brakes, LS400 and Supra TT front brakes are a direct bolt on, same goes for the Supra TT rear brakes.
If you're looking for a brake kit, I have a complete set, front and rears for sale. LS400 fronts and Supra TT rears.

I'm actually planning to leave the motor n/a. Just want a little added pep for the daily. any other mods you'd recommend for someone planning to just daily a 300

Stroked motor and juice would be fun. I like the look of full interior on a daily though. The spare should be useful too. I dont want a race car, just a nice daily that can get out of its own way

Seriously, the only way you are going to get ok power out of the GE is ITB's which is hella $$$. Some dude with an NA supra did this last year and the car was pretty wicked. Google ITB supra and see if you can find it. I'm pretty sure he had some cool numbers to back it up. Of course, the money he spent could have bought an NA-T kit/Swap, but he wanted to be different.
