Default climate control backlight?

is this easy to fix? can i get the bulb from dealer?

it looks totally fine during the day. but right half doesn't light up at night.

anyone have a guide.

You have to remove the unit, remove the face, and order a new 5 dollar buld from the dealer and install. Pretty straight forward on how to do it.. There are a ton of threads on this..

Agreed there are tons of threads on this.. but heres where Ill take my 5 secs, open a favourite and link it -

Click Here

now it shows you more or less how to replace the LCD itself, but you can easily adapt it to the part where you just replace the bulbs

i guess i get to pull out the soldering gun..

now i'm tempted to replace the color on the backlight and swap out with LEDs, which would probably be easier to pick up.

i'm replacing the HU so I guess we can see what matches.

has anyone done BLUE leds behind the climate control (i'm replacing the stereo so that doesnt matter).

i'm debating between blue and white.

my digital dash is green, my buttons are green, my backlits are all green. and its my fav colour. so I havnt changed mine for a diff colour.
but ive seen it all blue. theres Lots of threads about this and Many of them have very nice photos. you can take a look - im sure you can find them - Blue looks very nice - white is kinda boring tbh, but i like the feint blue not the OMG BLUE.. but thats me.

Question...my climate control screen is also fawked, but its black like a cell phone screen if you stepped on it. Is this a common problem, or shoul a you pull it salvage yard cluster be fine

that sounds like you'll need a new lcd.

very common - buy a new lcd screen - pm me if you cant find a site online to do so, and then follow the above posted link as a DIY.
