Default USED SEARCH FIRST: SC400 w/ SAFC

I read a million threads and have not been able to ascertain if ANYBODY with a SC400 ever installed and dynoed with the SAFC on. If so, or if I missed a thread in the 7 pages,...

can someone give me an idea what they gained,... i know the 300's picked up around 25hp's or so,...

I was concerned cuz I saw a few post stating the AFC wouldn't run half of the engine, and some other stuff about the ECU being double sided and it having issues with that.

any help would be helpful.

Default not worried???

about possible detonation from over leaning the ratio?? meltin' pistons ain't to cool,... but obviously you're still up and running... could get more out of it,... if you dyno it and can read the O2 wideband.

well anyways,.. thanx for the response,... 30 somethin' views and 1 response,.... making progress..

i don't think anyone has run a dyno on a SC400 + SAFC ... yet.

A S-AFC won't control only half of the engine because it taps the data before and after the 2 cpus interpret the data.

The only thing that concerns me is that i don't have any idea of when to run the SC4 on a dyno after its been installed (due to the difference between a reset ecu and a broken in ecu). I would think after the ecu has been broken in, but again, i haven't installed my afc yet.

Default you tune it on the dyno...

i've used one before on my 300Z,.... the dyno.... will show the power gains as the tuner adjusts it to a 14:1 air/fuel ratio...

you'd be suprised how "off" a stock ECU can be,... my Z's A/F went from lean,...rich,...overly rich,...back to lean.. I lost power in stock format in the mid range,.... after correcting the A/F ratio,.. I got about 22hp/25 ft-lbs in that loss area, and 8 hp at peak. My torque curve was almost flat,..and my hp was more linear,...

so dyno and tune immediately after installation

i'll post my dyno sheet with A/F ratio + hp/torque curves to show how much gain was achieved with the addition of the AFC.
