He said very rough idle, no acceleration, and fuel smell... I'm still betting on a bad coil.

Apparently my local Autozone has the ignition coil in stock. Is it the same for both sides like the same part numbers or are the ignition coils different from both sides? Planning on doing both ignition coils today, new distributors and rotors, and plugs and wires. We'll see what happens and I'll keep you guys updated on the results. Thanks for all the helpful info so far; I love this forum

Update it's fixed went to start on the ignition coil on the drivers side and found the wire going to it from the distributor chewed through! Replaced it but now the cat is shot on the drivers side because of unspent fuel being dumped down it. Getting replaced as we speak and shell be good as new.

And I'm not happy to be selling it, . My wife and I are now expecting and with a year and a half left on active duty in the Marines my priorities have drastically just been changed. House hunting and what not is going to have to take place and the money that was going to go into the SC has been spent else where. Don't worry I'll be back Thanks again for everyone's input, this is a great community and I'll definitely be back in the near future...
