So it happened that my car overheated last night and I called for the tow... Since I'm new to the area, I didn't know any good mechanics shop around so the tow guy suggested me to go to a shop that he personally goes a lot...
And they are now charging my radiator for ~$475, sounds reasonable or not?
I have an OEM radiator from my SC just sitting here. Make me an offer and its yours. Pulled from my running 92SC, no cracks, no issues. I can get a pic if you would like. It will be up in the classifieds later tonight.
rip off i charge customers with a sc300 about 220 so my clients get a new koyo oem style replacement and some new Toyota red coolant and labor all together... by the way unless you authorized it over the phone or signed on paper for them to order the parts they can't legally do anything like that also request for the old parts... For what they charge I'm dirt cheap
this is true^ you cant be charged for something you didn't confirm. i went to one of my local shops to get some work done, he ended up doing this whole crazy thing, he had to fix a problem i dident even know about it, but anyways he ended up doing 11 hours of work and only charged me to do what i asked to do. nice guy. but again, they arent even suppose to touch your car/ do anything you dident give them to do in the first place. i think.
