Default DIY Heasgasket walkthrough

Can anyone who has done this give me a quick breakdown on how its done, any helpful tips etc. I looked though the sticky and searched, but came up empty handed. im assuming it is pretty straight forward and will have some help, but a walkthrough to read while I wait on parts would help out a ton

drain coolant, remove radiator, fan clutch. take off drive belt, belt tensioner, vavle covers, t belt covers, crank pulley, t belt, intake mani, exhaust mani, unplug sensors connected to head, remove heater hoses, pop off head bolts, pull off head. these next steps are very important!!! take the head to a machine shop and have them at least deck it. i usually have them rebuild the entire head with new valve seals. buy a "gte" head gasket and arp studs, replace everything accordingly then boost the motor when ready =).

No need for the GTE headgasket unless you plan on going na-t..but IIRC you already ordered the standard GE head gasket.
