Default just got my 1jz vvti

Ok guys I just received my auto 1jz vvti rear sump out of a soarer. Just like how it looked in the pics. Got the whole motor and trans for 1300 and 245 shipping. What you guys think? Had it shipped to the shop where I work and just got it to my house today. I'll have pics up tomorrow.

Couple questions about extending the harness. I heard theres like one or two shielded wires that I gotta use usb cables for? And how long do I extend them.

USB cable is far too thin. You need legitimate wire. You need to extend the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. If you are OBD-II you can use the wire from your current crank shaft sensor. The knock sensors are also shielded. I prefer to simply replace the two in the GTE harness with the two in the GE harness.

11213-88400 for non vvti
11213-88410 for vvti
so they are "different"
and thus i would order the ones for the car properly.
i just order my parts from toyota in australia.. if i cant get them from here.

Soarer93 is right the 1JZ vvti uses different valve cover gaskets. If you want to try and use USDM parts get the 2jz-ge vvti gaskets.

part numbers are still different.
11213-88410 VVTI 1jz intake
11214-88410 VVTI 1jz exhaust

11213-46020 VVTI 2jz intake
11214-46011 VVTI 2jz exhaust

Some people use the non vvti 2j gaskets on the non vvti 1jz but have the following problem:

the difference is that the 2j's are molded a little different in that they follow a path that gooes around some of the valve cover bolts, making them just a little longer

so they have to push in the gasket a bit here and there to make it fit..
im going to assume the vvti is no different in terms of its small differences.
